Data Centre Chargeman A0/A1/A4

Job Overview:

Ability to provide continuous support to maintain system stability in our mission-critical data Centre facility. Good electrical, mechanical and instrument knowledge, including BMS/EMS monitoring systems and chill water distribution systems utilizing water-cooled chillers and pumps.

The work-life:

• Able to overcome day-to-day challenges and contribute valuable support to achieve management targets with minimum supervision.
• To provide timely updates and overcome issues related to working progress, incidents and corrective/preventive maintenance activity.
• Ability to communicate and provide necessary inputs or updates when needed by internal and external customers.
• Strong knowledge in electrical (electrical distribution, standby generator system, static and dynamic UPS system, critical and non-critical power distribution system, corrective and preventive maintenance activity) and able to troubleshoot issues to identify and escalate for further action or external call-in support from the contractor.
• Strong knowledge in mechanical (air conditioning system, CRAC, PECS, In-row cooling, Split units, Air- and water-cooled chiller system, pumps, BMS/EMS & DDC, PLC control system) and ability to troubleshoot issues to identify and escalate for further action or call-in external support from the contractor.
• Ability to support work in a group of the team in an alternate 12 hours shift environment.
• Ability to support and standby on-site as and when there is operation support needed.
• Flexibility adapts to changes in day-to-day work scope or roles and responsibilities if needed by a superior.
• Ability to read, write, update internal & external emails and update portals with work orders and other associated documentation.
• Experience and knowledge in data centre operations will be added advantages.
• Able to travel to multiple sites when required.

To be considered, you’ll need:

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in a mission-critical facility or similar working environment
• Minimum possesses Chargeman certificate in LV category (AO or A1 or A4) and/or diploma in the electrical or mechanical or related engineering field.
• Experience in Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Experience in AutoCAD will be added advantage
