Job Details:

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Liaise with TNB, DOSH, JKKP, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, and other regulatory bodies on approvals, registration/certifications, utility services, and compliance issues, ensuring statutory compliance to applicable laws.
  • Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. To prepare and submit any reports as required by TNB, DOSH, JKKP, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, and other regulatory bodies as required.
  • To carry out scheduled and unscheduled inspections, repair, corrective, and preventive maintenance tasks on all switchboards, circuit breakers, transformers, switch gears, and cleanliness of all High Voltage, Low Voltage, generators room, chiller plant room, etc.
  • Technical guidance and manage the engineering team, to provide guidance for PM, Troubleshooting, and Improvement to achieve the targeted OEE and monitor and control the machine/equipment downtime (Electrical and Automation).
  • To ensure all mechanical & electrical installation and services (Fire Alarm System, Fire Fighting System, Lighting, etc) and maintenance are safe, correct, legal, and in compliance with the authorities.
  • To carry out monthly testing of the Fire Alarm system or as directed by the Building Manager and to attend and assist, where necessary, in all electrical and Bomba Facilities Inspections.
  • Responsible to make sure that all equipment is performing efficiently and effectively.
  • Responsible for establishing and monitoring critical equipment analysis and condition monitoring programs FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis), KAIZEN, DMAIC Lean Six Sigma.
  • In addition, assists in new installations design as well as any facility design changes & Setup SAP PM & SAP Maintenance.
  • Responsible to analyze equipment operating data and evaluate the overall effectiveness of the equipment and energy saving activity.
  • Evaluates plant and equipment unscheduled downtime magnitude and responsible to identify opportunities for reliability enhancement.
  • Responsible handling the mechanical and electrical maintenance team (technician), which consist of the job scope of, implementation of the work procedure, overtime, troubleshooting guidance, machine design and drawing review for improvement, Machine Performance OEE, MTBA, MTBF etc.
  • Alignment with vendor on the part design, fabrication, and installation for the improvement activities.
  • Responsible to control the spare part inventory and align with the spare part management team.
  • Create documentation on the Standard operation procedure, process specification, Work instruction & OJTI.
  • Support on the new machine Buyoff & machine change documentation.
  • Design & Update the Machine Risk & Health Assessment
  • Promote continuous improvement and growth mindset and behaviors that have a positive impact on Safety Health Environment & Quality.
  • Effectively present information and reports to the management. Manage, execute, and perform any and all instructions from the management, senior management, and Board of Directors from time to time.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Must Possess at least a Professional Certificate or Diploma (Electrical, Electronic)
  • Competent BO Chargeman (33kV) Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading team, preferably at Engineering or Maintenance Field
  • Good leadership and people management skills
  • The ability to interact with and lead a diverse group, including managers, technicians, operators, and subject matter experts
  • Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, analysis and decision-making skills.

Technical Competencies

  • Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to understand the Mechanical, Electrical and Automation Diagram and able to design the Diagram.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and SAP
  • Knowledgeable in variable problem-solving methodology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech with all levels of company management and with other internal and external contacts.
