Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy in assigned area to meet business objectives. Each day, you will implement marketing activities and support Sales organization in driving sales and services for respective products. You will also showcase your expertise by driving sales efficiency by providing appropriate product knowledge information and training. The work model for the role is: . This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution business in as Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Implementing the local go-to market product marketing strategy including definition and communication of product value propositions, product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy.
  • Achieving product marketing targets, budgets through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed.
  • Executing annual marketing plan in conjunction with relevant business units/product groups. Preparing business plans focused on business development for a defined market.
  • Supporting the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers.
  • Preparing/supporting preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit/feeder factory indications and Sales organization directives.
  • Coordinating market analyses with sales team members and defining appropriate forecasts and plans. Evaluating and sharing customer research, market conditions and competitor data.
  • Overseeing sales execution for assigned products by providing relevant materials and guidance to sales team(s).
  • Driving sales efficiency by delivering appropriate product knowledge information and training (technical and sales) for each salesperson. Facilitating know-how sharing and cross collaboration.

Qualifications For The Role

  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years in Engineering product management/sales
  • Experience in medium voltage Product such as switchgear, protection relay, Compact Substation, E-house, DCS & EMNCS, and distribution solutions product portfolio and in order management and order forecast/revenue forecast is an added advantage.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong product-to-market sense.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and ability to influence both internally and externally.
  • Willingness to travel 30% locally.
