Job Description

  • Risk Management Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy to identify, assess, and mitigate business and operational risks, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic objectives.
  • Framework Development: Establish and maintain a robust Risk Management Framework that includes policies, procedures, and tools to facilitate effective risk identification and reporting across all business units.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management and various departments to promote a proactive risk-aware culture, ensuring all levels of the organisation understand and adhere to risk management practices.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor the effectiveness of risk management initiatives, track key risk indicators, and provide regular updates to the Board and senior management on the status of risks and mitigation efforts.
  • Training and Awareness: Facilitate training programs and workshops to enhance awareness of risk management processes and foster a culture of accountability throughout the organisation.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and implement sustainability strategies that address key environmental and social issues, aligning them with the organisation's risk management framework.
  • Crisis Management: Oversee the development of business continuity plans and crisis management protocols to ensure resilience in the face of potential disruptions.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior staff in the Risk Management team, fostering their professional development and enhancing team performance.
  • Compliance Oversight: Stay informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in risk management to ensure compliance and integrate relevant updates into the organisation's processes.


The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with at least 10 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, or compliance, ideally within the automotive or related industries. They will hold a degree in risk management, finance, or a related field, and possess strong knowledge of risk concepts and frameworks, including ISO 31000.

This individual will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to fostering a risk-aware culture across the organisation. They will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling them to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from junior staff to senior management.

The candidate will be detail-oriented and resourceful, capable of working independently while also being a strong team player. They will exhibit a commitment to ethical practices and possess a growth mindset, demonstrating resilience and perseverance in achieving their goals. A passion for sustainability and the ability to develop innovative risk management strategies will be key attributes for success in this role.
