Job description

Effective delivery of technical support and installations. This will include break-fix tasks, includes hardware,

network, cabling and rack deployments, site planning, problem escalation and managing installations.

Works primarily at an Oracle datacenter in a “mission critical operations” environment

Requires a 7x24-hours commitment to participate in the regional standby rotation program and shift.

Involves On-call shifts which means a driving license and the ability to reach the datacenter site within 60

mins.

Work in close collaboration to other technical teams & non-technical teams (e.g networking, compute, compliance, business operations)

Understand internal customer problem and provide technical solution in timely manner

Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware, software

Support deployment of on-site data center physical infrastructure, structured cabling installation is a significant part of this position

Install, Replace and Troubleshoot Cables and Hardware

Work within a ticket-based environment

Able to prioritize ticketing queues, resolving escalations, and clearing blocking issues to enable continued delivery of technician activities in accordance with internal polices and service level agreements. Be aware of, and abide by, Ticket processes and protocol, including OCI Change Management rules.

System board level repair and fault diagnosis to SLAs

Using provided tools to do a proper and timely internal reporting.

Planning & commissioning new rack positions

Involvement with the design & commissioning of new whitespaces

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team without friction

Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures.

Exercises excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Both written and verbal.

Supports all work inside the datacenter and engages resources to resolve issues beyond

their expertise

Act as hardware support expert liaison to other technical teams & non-technical teams

(e.g.: networking, compute, compliance, business operations)

Strong adherence to processes and act as a Process Champion

Excellent knowledge on operating system, hardware and network fundamentals,

concepts, repair & diagnosis.

Excellent knowledge of datacenter design, including electrical and cooling plant &

operation.

Develops and verifies proper procedures in supporting datacenter infrastructure.

Understands when and where to escalate support issues and proactively engages

external groups when there are issues affecting DC Operations.

Good level of spoken English language is required.
