The FRAML Analyst will play a crucial role in safeguarding the bank’s financial integrity by identifying, investigating and reporting suspicious activity related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes.

This position requires a strong understanding of anti-money laundering regulations and a keen eye for detecting unusual patterns in financial transactions.

1. Transaction Monitoring

  • Conduct daily reviews of customers transaction to identify suspicious activity.
  • Ongoing review of customer transactions and behaviour to identify unusual patterns or behaviours that may indicate fraudulent activity.
  • Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to enhance monitoring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Employs predefined rules and criteria to identify suspicious activity/transaction (SAR/STR).

2. Investigation

  • Investigate suspicious activity, including gathering evidence, requesting further information (RFI) from customers, and coordinating with law enforcement agencies.
  • Prepare detailed investigation reports and documentation.

3. Risk Assessment

  • Assess the bank’s exposure to fraud and money laundering risks.
  • Develop and implement fraud risk mitigation strategies
  • Conduct risk assessments of new products, services and customers
  • Identify and evaluate existing and latest fraud trends.

4. Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of AML policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, banking, or a related field.
  • 2 - 3 years or more experience in AML/CFT & Fraud in the financial industry.
  • Knowledge of Fraud AML and practices.
  • Proficient in Fraud rules integration, software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
