Responsibilities

  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets to finance the needs of the entire farm while ensuring profitability through effective cost management and financial sustainability.
  • Operational Management: Ensure smooth operations from sourcing to packaging and distribution, including overseeing cultivation, harvesting, and supply chain processes.
  • Sales and Marketing Coordination: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing plans and promotional activities that enhance product visibility and drive sales in both local and international markets.
  • P&L Responsibility: Oversee the company's profit and loss statements, ensuring that financial performance aligns with strategic goals.
  • Quality Control: Implement strict quality control measures to ensure all fruits meet standards for size, sweetness, and freshness, working closely with production teams.
  • Supply Chain Management: Coordinate logistics for sourcing raw materials and managing product distribution to ensure timely delivery to customers.
  • Price Management: Oversee consumer pricing, trade margins, and cost/price analysis while investigating cost reduction measures to improve product performance and maintain a profitable product mix.
  • Stock Monitoring: Monitor fruit stock levels, delivery schedules, and product quality from the farm while maintaining adequate stock for center fruits and distributing products as needed.
  • Human Resources Management: Manage staff performance, including farm workers, sales teams, and administrative personnel. Ensure recruitment, training, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Strategic Planning: Set long-term goals for expanding product lines, exploring new markets, or adopting innovative agricultural technologies such as IoT-based systems.
  • Relationship Building: Establish positive business relationships with agents/distributors in various markets to achieve company strategy.
  • Emergency Response: Respond effectively to emergencies and solve problems as they arise.
  • Experience in Trading: Utilize experience in trading local crops and imported fruits to navigate market trends, establish valuable supply chains, and create opportunities for diversification in the product portfolio.

Requirements

  • Minimum diploma in Business or related discipline
  • 5 years of experience in agribusiness or supply chain is a plus.
  • Able to speak in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Experience in working/leading multi-disciplinary and cultural teams and departments.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail or grocery environment is an advantage.
