Job Summary:

They are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, with a strong focus on financial reporting, planning, strategy, and corporate finance. This individual will play a critical role in driving financial performance, supporting decision-making, and ensuring the company's long-term financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting & Group Consolidation:

  • Lead the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely consolidated financial statements, ensuring proper group-level reporting across subsidiaries and entities.
  • Oversee the consolidation of multi-entity financials, including the elimination of intercompany transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and standardization of reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and corporate governance requirements across the group.
  • Manage external audits, working closely with external auditors and regulatory authorities to ensure consolidated financials meet all regulatory and legal standards.
  • Maintain internal control systems across the group to safeguard the financial integrity of the entire organization.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Drive the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning process in alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Analyze financial performance, key trends, and variances to provide actionable insights to the executive team.
  • Lead financial modeling to evaluate business scenarios, new ventures, and potential M&A opportunities.
  • Partner with business units to optimize financial performance and drive cost efficiencies.

3. Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement the company’s financial strategy.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections to support growth initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the sustainability of the company’s business model.
  • Contribute to strategic planning efforts, including market expansion, product development, and capital allocation.

4. Corporate Finance & Investor Relations:

  • Manage the company’s capital structure, including debt and equity financing, ensuring the company is adequately funded for future growth.
  • Lead investor relations efforts, including preparing presentations, financial disclosures, and communications for shareholders, analysts, and market participants.
  • Oversee mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, from financial due diligence to integration, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities across the group, ensuring the best return on investment (ROI) and maximizing shareholder value.

5. Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring strong succession planning and leadership development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the finance function.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to drive business performance and strategic alignment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, with a proven success in a publicly listed company and a strong background in group financial consolidation.
  • Proven track record in financial reporting, corporate finance, strategic planning, and FP&A.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws, and consolidation principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, stock exchange reporting, disclosure requirements, and corporate governance for listed entities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
