Primary Objective

The Scrum Master role is a key role in the development and execution of Scrum. Alongside the Product Manager and development team, the Scrum Master enables the delivery of complex digital solutions and products for our customers. As a Senior Scrum Master, you will take accountability for the delivery of value to stakeholders. You will empower, lead, and coach teams to be successful, self-organizing and adaptable to change. You are responsible for keeping the team moving, and continuously reporting on developments, celebrating successes, and defining, understanding, and resolving roadblocks. As a Senior member of the team, you will demonstrate leadership qualities, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and learning within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating the adoption of Agile tools and practices
  • Agile processes and improvement within the team.
  • Removal of impediments and coaching the team to resolve them.
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with business and customer groups and within the team, by helping the team to make their work transparent, and managing change as issues arise.
  • Maintain the focus on customer value and outcomes and maximise flow.
  • Lead a continuous improvement culture, and reduction of waste.
  • Lead the team to achieve continuous delivery and to build quality in.
  • Develop, monitor, and communicate team reporting and metrics such as burnup & burndown charts, Sprint reports, Control Charts, etc.
  • Managing operational and project risks.
  • Continuous learning and professional development on Scrum Master capability.
  • Actively participate and contribute to agile practices.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary Certificate/Degree qualification.
  • Five years proven digital development and project delivery experience as a Scrum Master
  • Scrum Master Certification in either of CSM, PSM, A-CSM, CSP-SM, SSM, or SASM
  • Experience in scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) is preferred.
