Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.
- Work with hiring managers and schedule pre-recruiting meetings to be sure all the needs and wants are understood before searching.
- Source, contact, and research potential passive candidates that might meet the requirements.
- Schedule phone and in person interviews, gather follow-up information from hiring managers for follow-up to candidates.
- Interview job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills.
- Place ads on various social media outlets, websites, etc.
- When necessary, arrange travel for candidates out of the area to interview, tour, etc.
- Manage the student/co-op program for all areas, including attendance at job fairs, campus career days, etc.
- Develop and implement recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs.
- Confirms accuracy and integrity of all data entered in HRIS and databases.
- Monitors HRIS system/dashboards to make sure job functions, job descriptions and req ID’s are completed
- Follows up with manager on changes and missing information.
- Support all HRIS system needs
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process
- Arranges drug and background check and receives results.
- Updating new hire PAF as new hire moves through hiring criteria steps.
- Sends communication email to new hires with onboarding agenda, dress code, parking information and day 1 schedule.
- Perform new employee orientation
- Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, employment contract and HR letters.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Employment laws, Industrial Relations Act and compliance requirements.
- Respond to human resources-related inquiries.
- Assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions including preparing warning letters.
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
- Monitors and ensure termination dashboard assure all steps are completed for compliance.
- Adheres to all Samtec Quality Principles and actions
- The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a general guideline for this position. *Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities.
- 3 years in related / similar position
- Must have great communication skills as this person will be interacting with all levels of the organization.
- Must have great organizational & Time Management skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously as priorities can change very quickly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or equivalent/ related technical or equivalent experience.
