The position of an Art Director is a critical function within the creative department. If words are the “voice”, you are the “body language” of our clients’ presence (and body language accounts for over 80% of communication).

Job Description

  • Provide the bridge between imagination and implementation; to ensure that the concepts developed can fly
  • Contribute to brain storming sessions
  • Understand the importance of work that reflects a “big idea” that’s faithful to the brand values of the product you’re promoting
  • Understand of the marketing objectives and demonstrating an ability to deliver the “message” through design
  • You are a digital native and translating ideas into this channel is second nature to you. But you also know how to work across all platforms and story tell with a sharp eye to detail.
  • Being able bring your vision of the idea to life with Directors, Photographers, Illustrators, Animators and editors to name a few is a requirement.
  • Demonstrate a high level of computer skills
  • Being aware of the competitive context of our clients’ businesses (noting examples of competitive marketing)

Qualifications

  • Must have AV and ATL experience
  • A degree in the Arts, Graphic Design or Multimedia
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a creative agency
  • Experience working with GLC clients will be an added advantage
  • Experience working in a 4As agency will be an added advantage
