Purpose of Job

This role will be responsible for processing payments to insurers, reinsurers, and other vendors, and resolving any issues or discrepancies related to invoices or payments. The role also involves supporting the month-end closing process, general ledger, reconciling accounts payable balances, and providing necessary reports and documentation as and when required. The role will be contributing to the financial operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day accounts payables duties.
  • Create payment entries in the systems and perform payment matching in the systems, ensure transactions are capture timely in the systems.
  • Prepare and process payments to insurers and reinsurers for insurance premium and non-premium payments, and other vendors for general expenses promptly and adherence to payment terms.
  • Create payments in bank platform and send payments to manager for payment verifications.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with business units and external parties, responding to inquiries and resolving any issues or discrepancies related to invoices or payments promptly.
  • Resolve payment inquiries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records in the system.
  • Provide support in audit and liaise with auditors and bankers.
  • Support the month-end closing process, general ledger, reconciling accounts payable balances, and providing necessary reports and documentation if required.
  • Assist in system migration and implementation, including system testing.
  • Other ad-hoc assignments as and when required by the management.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with relevant company and/or group policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and correspondence.

Representing the Company

  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in accounts payable including general ledger or a similar finance role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, able to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
