General Ledger Management:
- Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and summaries for management and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
Account Reconciliation:
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage account balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Audit Support:
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Implement and maintain procedures to address audit findings and recommendations.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the general ledger function.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized documentation for all general ledger activities.
- At least 1 year experience in related field
- Minimum diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in preparing full set accounts is an advantage
