Responsibilities:
• Formulate strategies for the growth of the Graduate School.
• Identify and develop new programs that will ensure sustainable growth of the University.
• Work with the Graduate School to ensure adherence to accreditation standards, enhanced community engagement and drive the University research agenda.
• Establish collaborations and partnerships with other institutions of higher education and industry to drive research.
• Providing internal leadership and mentorship to department staff and students.
• Overseeing the recruitment, appointment, review and professional development of staff and the Graduate School.
• Monitor the academic progress of students towards graduation.
• Work cooperatively with other stakeholders and the Management to advance the mission and strategic plans of the University.
Requirements:
• Possess a Doctoral qualification.
• At least 8-10 years working experience in teaching at tertiary level and 5 years in a management capacity.
• Demonstrate strong passion, and good knowledge and understanding of the higher education environment.
• Proven ability to build positive and strong partnerships/ relationships externally.
• Experience of delivering improvements in quality, student/ customer experience and research outputs.
• Able to be creative and innovative in devising solutions.
