This role is internally known as DBS (Domino's Book-keeping Services) Franchise Accountant and will be supporting Domino's franchisees across APAC markets.

Role objectives:

  • Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of the monthly financial reports for a portfolio of approximately 80-90 franchised stores.
  • Managing the workflow and professional development of 1-2 staff based either in head office or the offshore team.

Job Scope:

KEY RESULT AREAS:

  1. Financial reports allocated to the role are completed within reporting deadlines, with all reconciling items investigated and action points noted.
  2. Understand and proactively improve the use of technology, reporting tools, procedures and workflows of the team.
  3. Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as actively contribute to developing the DBS brand and market presence.
  4. Supervise and manage the workflow and quality of work prepared by assistant accountant(s).
  5. Monitor, coach and develop your assistant accountant(s) and assist in the preparation and delivery of their performance reviews.

Tasks relating to the preparation of financial reports on behalf of Franchisees:

  • Take ownership/ responsibility for your own client list, managing client expectations and deliverables.
  • Ensure all franchisee financial reports are completed within deadlines and with all reconciling items investigated and action points noted.
  • Ensure all GST & Payroll tax returns are lodged accurately and on time.
  • Responsible for all comms /actions required to on-board and exit clients.
  • Liaise with DBS franchisees clients to obtain financial information and resolve their (or their advisor’s) queries.
  • Educate and train DBS franchisee clients on our reporting, software platforms and general financial principles that apply to their business.

  • Contribute to promotional activities to convert existing franchisees from external bookkeeping service providers to the DBS platform.

Project & other tasks:

  • Identify and implement time saving practices relating to the DBS financial reporting and workflow processes.
  • Assist with training junior and offshore team members in preparing monthly financial reports and various technology platforms used by DBS.
  • Start to build relationships with DBS clients and other stakeholders.
  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
    • Certified Accountant is highly preferred (CAT/ACCA/etc)
    • 4+ years in a financial role including a strong exposure and knowledge of general ledger accounting, VAT and income tax
    • Strong Excel Skills.
    • Strong time management and organisational skills.
    • Very strong attention to detail.
    • Ability and willingness to project understanding, confidence and professionalism when liaising with senior stakeholders.
    • Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written - to communicate with stakeholders based in Europe)
    • Experience working implementing new technology or change manage processes.
