AI Engineer (Machine Learning)

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer who is skilled in programming to develop and maintain high-performing machine learning models. In this role, you will design machine learning systems by identifying business problems and creating solutions that add value to the company. You'll be responsible for prototyping, implementing, and experimenting with various machine learning methods to address business needs. Additionally, you will lead the automation, architecture, and optimization of machine learning processes, as well as establish and enforce best practices for model development within the Data Science team at our Fintech company.

Responsibilities

• Identify and frame machine learning problems in a business context
• Research, build, and design machine learning systems and models to solve business challenges
• Analyze data to select suitable datasets for modeling and testing
• Prototype and implement appropriate machine learning algorithms and tools to enhance our products
• Design, execute, and monitor experiments with machine learning models and metrics
• Conduct statistical analysis to evaluate the impact of model improvements
• Automate, design, and manage machine learning processes and pipelines
• Monitor, optimize, and maintain machine learning solutions in production
• Improve existing machine learning libraries and development frameworks
• Collaborate with MLOps Engineers and Data Scientists to enhance system designs and architectures
• Promote test-driven development and best practices to minimize technical debt in machine learning systems
• Develop tools and internal libraries to support model governance throughout the machine learning lifecycle
  
  

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in machine learning
• Strong background in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science
• Proficient in programming and software engineering
• Hands-on experience with machine learning, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling
• Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production
• Skilled in problem-solving and troubleshooting with both traditional and innovative approaches
• Proficient in Python and SQL
• Familiar with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM
• Preferably experienced in building machine learning systems and workflows
• Preferably familiar with MLOps tools like DVC, MLFlow, Metaflow, Seldon, BentoML
• Preferably familiar with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
