JOB OVERVIEW:

We're hiring an experienced and dynamic PR Manager, where the ideal candidate comes with a minimum of 6 years of proven success in public relations, preferably with experience in both in-house and agency roles. This role will involve managing communications strategies, media relations, event management, and brand positioning for an International Financial Center (IFC), an anchor development for the project that the company invested in.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that enhance the visibility and reputation of the IFC.
  • Manage media relations, including cultivating strong relationships with key financial and industry-specific media outlets.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute high-profile events, such as press conferences, industry forums, and networking events, that align with the organization's PR objectives and enhance brand presence.
  • Create and distribute compelling press releases, speeches, and other communication materials that align with brand messaging.
  • Oversee crisis communication efforts, ensuring timely and effective management of any potential reputational risks.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including public policy, advisory, institutional investment, and executive leadership, to align PR and event activities with business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing actionable insights to refine PR strategies and reporting on PR campaign effectiveness.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities, and adapt PR strategies and event plans accordingly.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, International Business / Business Strategy, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 years of PR experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in both in-house and agency settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing PR and events for financial institutions, International Financial Centers or banks is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and regulatory environments, particularly within the APAC region.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and persuasive messages.
  • Proven track record in crisis communication, issues management, and successful event management.
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese (written and spoken), with the ability to write clear and compelling materials. Mandarin is essential.
  • Good computer Knowledge/Skills (MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to business needs with occasional extended hours, including evenings, weekends, or public holidays, as required to meet project deadlines or business goals.
