The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.
Responsibilities
- Communicating the benefits of a company's products in order to drive sales
- Selling products and services using solid arguments to prospective customers
- Performing cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customers
- Maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales
- Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources
- Implement action plans (e.g. make regular calls/visits, take orders, etc.) to achieve sales targets for assigned territories
- Execute sales activities for assigned territories, including product portfolios and marketing plan introductions, order taking and etc
- Record sales data for reporting and tracking purposes. Maintain relevant customer data in appropriate customer relationship management databases
- Execute continuous improvement activities to enhance sales processes, sales plans, customer satisfaction, etc.
- Maintain a customer complaints/issues log and follow up on customer issues
- Respond to customer orders and queries. Inform current and prospective customers of promotions and new/upgraded products
- Responsible for payment and collections to ensure payment are collected promptly.
Qualifications
- Diploma, Degree or professional qualification in business or a related discipline
- OTC or FMCG experience & Knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Demonstrate fluency in English -both written and spoken
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
- Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the industry/market/competitors/customers
- Minimum one to two years’ experience in related field.
- Possess own transport
