What would you do?

  • Corporate Development is mandated to drive value creation, assess existing assets, and secure greater access to growth markets and technologies through portfolio optimization and strategic alignment.
  • Support and assist the Chief Corporate Development & Strategy Officer in planning and implementing strategies; oversee the activities and performance of all business verticals to ensure targets/objectives are met; support and help execute corporate transactions like fundraising programs, M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships/investments; identify and champion new strategic opportunities and partnerships needed to drive growth.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to maximize revenue and profitability generation, productivity, and impact of overall business efforts.
  • Work closely with the businesses in the preparation of yearly strategic papers to be tabled to the board.
  • Work with the Director of Corporate Development & Strategy to plan and organise all areas of fund-raising activities and assist in managing external stakeholders such as investment banks, legal counsel, and financial and tax consultants.
  • Assist in executing M&A, including corporate finance, legal document negotiations, lead due diligence progress and review, structuring, valuation, provide recommendations and drive transactions all the way to closure.
  • Assist with oversight on critical investments like TNG Digital and track collaboration efforts between TNG and TNG Digital.
  • Ensure the company's internal readiness from a financial, compliance, and operation perspective for any corporate exercises like fundraising, IPO, or divestment.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, finance division and business heads on business planning, budgeting and financial modelling to maximise revenue and profitability generation.
  • Assist in preparing and tracking the corporate scorecard and prepare the necessary reporting of the business's performance achievement when required.
  • Preparing transaction approval papers to be tabled to committees and boards.
  • Participate in meetings to review old and new business cases, viability of the business, key commercial terms, establish cost-benefit analysis, sustainability of revenue/profits, ensuring that business proposals meet companies’ needs and generate sufficient revenue to deliver its strategic objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth research on macro environment, industry/market overview and trends, competitive landscape, risk and threats for any old and new businesses, viability of these business models and conduct cost-benefits analysis.
  • Assist the CCDO in department yearly budget planning and tracking.
  • Assist the CCDO in department reporting to TMC on monthly basis.
  • Any other duties and tasks assigned and/or as required

Who should join us?

  • Degree/Master in Business, Finance and Accounting, Economics or similar discipline from a recognized institution
  • Additional professional certification like CFA would be an advantage
  • Min. 2 - 3 years related working experience in Business Development, Corporate Finance, Portfolio Management, Accounting and Finance.
  • Supported the development and implementation of corporate strategies.
  • Conducted detailed financial modelling, valuation, and profitability analysis to assess potential investment opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
  • Conducted market research to identify industry trends, competitive position, and potential growth areas, informing strategy recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
  • Strong IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office suites
  • Self-starter, passionate in promoting the products & services and managing the clients
  • Innovative in developing ideas and creative in overcoming challenges
  • Excellent self-management skills to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, using own initiative and being flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent project management skills
  • This person must also be familiar with pipeline management and have an equally clear understanding of financial forecasting and planning
