Position Summary

As a Channel Sales Executive, you are required to develop the channel agenda within the business to support long term Channel Category growth and profitably increase market share.

A day in the life of a Channel Sales Executive

  • Responsible for supporting Channel Manager Led to define overall priority channels, across category strategies based on shopper and customer understanding and requirements in line with overall market strategies.
  • Responsible for development of Category Channel plans in line with overall market strategies with the respective Category Development Managers. Develop key commercial propositions for specified category at the Channel level.
  • Responsible for the PTE investment levels in the channels and the profitability of the channel with the objective to drive growth in the channel
  • Responsible for recommending actionable in-store solutions for the Channel overall recognizing Category/ subcategory specific requirements. Drives implementation and continuously review the effectiveness of our in-store actions. (Example: Perfect Store)
  • Responsible for contributing channel inputs into the Integrated Commercial Planning process by identifying the key opportunities (incorporating shopper behavior in that channel, channel specific promotional learnings, competitor analysis) and proposing channel development programmes relevant to customers in that channel.
  • Population of the ICP meeting 4 templates (Purple file) as per agreed with the respective stakeholders.
  • Responsible for ensuring pre and post evaluation of key channel development programmes (Example: Retailer Loyalty Scheme, Long Term Space Buy, Accelerated Growth Funds) is conducted and shared with all the stakeholders.
  • Accountable and Responsible for sourcing, updating and communicating latest developments, trends, initiatives and competitive actions within the channel, assessing implications/opportunities for Nestle categories and brands.
  • Responsible for working with Customer teams to define and develop appropriate channel & key customer plans (General Trade only for 99 Speed Mart, Petronas, BHP, 7-Eleven, Shell) aligned with the overall channel strategy.
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to all company principles and policies.

What will make you successful?

  • Education: University Diploma/Degree (or equivalent)
  • Between 3 – 5 years’ experience in Trade Marketing or Sales.
  • Stakeholder management skills and solution-oriented, self-motivated, results-oriented
  • Good record of success in a customer (not limited to Key Accounts) facing role.
  • Understands customers and the field sales selling process.
