Job Summary

Perform the duties and responsibilities of a Logistics Manager, striving for efficient and effective administration of the Company’s internal and external logistics functions at optimal cost-effectiveness while maximizing customer’s satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervised a team of logistics staff in daily logistics operations in both Ipoh & Sungai Buloh plant.
  • To plan and review for the Company’s transportation requirements/needs.
  • To plan and execute fleet/distribution schedule for both Ipoh & Sungai Buloh in order to cope with daily supply chain demands. Approximately total daily dispatches of 6,000mt.
  • Plan and monitoring delivery schedules for bagged/bulk cement, export cement and export clinker in order to optimize distribution networking and minimize operating costs via distribution channels of road, rail and sea.
  • Analyse, compile and prepare monthly and quarterly operational reports such as Monthly Management Meeting report, and export cement delivery report, etc.
  • Responsible to ensure improvement and efficiency in the supply chain system of the Company including logistics arrangement, manpower resources planning, customer service, supply and distribution.
  • Responsible for export/import and port management, include loading process in sea or berth in (Both SPS and LMT Port), stockpile handling and responsible for handling loss in clinkers upon loading to vessels.
  • To liaise and work closely with all relevant parties in arranging for effective and efficient cement and clinker deliveries i.e. Packing Department, Marketing Department, Bulohpack, Godowns, transporters, shipping agencies & port authorities, etc.
  • To maintain good relationship with transporters and up to date market information on freight, Malaysia on the road regulations and etc.
  • To always observe & adhere to company’s policies and procedures.
  • To adhere to Safety, Health & Environment procedures in all aspects of work.
  • To adhere to quality management requirements such as ISO, Total Quality Management, 5S, QPP, Poka Yoke and other company implemented quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree holder, preferably majoring in Logistics, Transportation Planning Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience preferably exposure in high volume & fast-moving manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge in shipping related documents, i.e. Letter of Credit (LC), Export Permit (AP), Incoterms, Proforma Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (BL), Certificate of Origin (CO) & Customs K2/ K4 form is an added advantage.
