  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.

  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

We invite applicants to apply for a MSc graduate research assistant position at the Institute of Microengineering and Nanoelectronics (IMEN), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidates to carry out simulation, synthesis and characterizations of 2-dimensional material called molybdenum disulfide (MoS2). Applicants should have a bachelor degree in a relevant subject.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohmad

Research topic: Thermally Stable and Ultra-low Contact Resistance 2-Dimensional Molybdenum Disulfide FETs

Requirements and details:

  • Highly motivated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor degree in related fields (eg. electrical electronic engineering, material science, applied physics, engineering) with CGPA>3.00
  • English requirement: MUET with a minimum of band 3; IELTS with a minimum score of 5.5; or TOEFL with a minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test; or TOEFL results with a minimum score of 79 on internet based test;
  • This studentship is open for Malaysian and international students. However, priority will be given to Malaysian candidates.
  • Monthly allowance of RM 2,000/month.
  • This studentship does not cover the PhD tuition fees. Candidate must be able to finance the tuition fees for the whole duration of study (~4 semesters). Students are encouraged to apply for UKM Zamalah for tuition fees waiver for up to 3 semesters.
