The SAP Functional Team Lead will oversee the daily operations of the external SAP support team, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of issues, consolidation and enhancement of system documentation, and successful implementation of system changes. This role is pivotal in maintaining the stability and performance of SAP systems while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the SAP support team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Issue Resolution: Oversee the identification, analysis, and resolution of SAP-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Documentation: Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP processes, configurations, and changes to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • System Changes: Plan, coordinate, and execute functional changes and business process improvement, ensuring compliance with change management procedures.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to understand requirements, manage expectations, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for the organization to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of the external SAP support team and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant SAP certifications are preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP functional roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team lead position.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM/SCM, SD) and related technologies. Experience in SAP Industry solution Is-Retail is must for IS-Retail SD Solution Lead role, and a plus for MM/SCM and FICO Solution Lead.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a support team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Documentation Skills: Experience in creating and maintaining detailed documentation for SAP systems and processes.
  • Change Management: Experience in managing system changes and ensuring compliance with change management procedures.
