Sankyu (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. was established in Malaysia in 1979 as a joint-venture between Malaysian partners and Sankyu Inc., Japan. Role Description
1. To monitor and control overall job process, staff overtime etc. for Sea Cargo Fwd. job daily and ensure that it is running smoothly at all time.
2. To study and make quarterly statistics of the job efficiency, cost effectiveness etc. for further improvement.
3. To liaise with internal concerned parties such as sections, branches, P. J. Head Quarter, Sankyu Inc. etc. with good manner when it is needed for our operations and/or new business.
4. To liaise with all governmental bodies such as Customs, MIDA, MITI, Embassy, etc. with good manner when it is needed and also to maintain good relationship with them for smooth and efficient Sea Cargo Forwarding job.
5. To liaise with all vendors/sub-contractors to maintain their good performances at minimum costs always and to evaluate their overall service level, such as rates, performances etc. at least half yearly basis for final judgment and approval by the superior.
6. To liaise with all customers for the current and/or future business matters and to maintain good relationship with them always.
7. To carry out sales & marketing activities positively for further business expansion and to report it to the superior promptly. In relation to the said activities, physical actions such as quotation making, submission, rate negotiation etc. are required time to time on behalf of the superior with advance instruction and approval.
8. To give proper and periodical education & guidance by OJT/OFF JT to all the subordinates for further improvements of their performance.
9. To prepared monthly business forecast report.
10. To make any kinds of maximum effort for business expansion, costs cut down etc. and also to establish better safety, security, health & operation system include ISO issues etc.
11. To assist the superior in anyway to achieve the branch’s target and to take up and/or follow the new job assignment, instruction, order, advice etc. which are to be given by the superior time to time.
Qualifications
- Logistics, Supply Chain Management skills
- Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping procedures
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience with freight forwarding software and systems
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
