We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Consultant with a strong background in engineering or technical knowledge to join our team in the commercial and industrial solar industry. This role involves business development, client relationship management, and revenue generation through B2B sales of our solar solutions. The candidate will be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities, conducting site visits, and providing expert guidance to clients.
While a background in solar is not required, it is an advantage. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with travelling to client sites, conducting technical site inspections, and presenting tailored solutions to meet the specific energy needs of commercial and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and close new B2C sales opportunities in the commercial and industrial sectors.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by understanding their needs and offering tailored solar solutions.
- Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to gather relevant technical information for accurate proposal development.
- Leverage engineering knowledge to explain technical aspects of our solar products and services to clients in an easily understandable manner.
- Prepare and present customized solutions that meet the technical and financial needs of potential clients.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets through strategic account management and closing deals.
- Work closely with internal engineering and project teams to ensure smooth project handover and execution.
- Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and market needs to refine business development strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.), or any technical field related to energy solutions.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or technical sales roles. Experience in the solar or renewable energy sector is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of engineering concepts, particularly in energy systems, electrical systems, or renewable energy.
- Willingness to travel to client sites for face-to-face meetings and site inspections.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a results-orientated mindset.
- Ability to assess client needs and offer solutions that are both technically and financially sound.
