Job Purpose
Adjudicate claims according to the terms and conditions of the policy.
The Role:
- Assess claims in accordance with the policy terms and conditions and ISO requirements.
- Process claims; i.e. approve, reject or withdraw claims within a set time frame and authority limit.
- Handling enquiries and complaints promptly from agents and claimants.
- Co-ordinate with branches or other stakeholders to ensure smooth claims handling.
- Provide feedback and drive necessary changes for improvement/system & process
- Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
- Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
- Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
The Person:
- University Degree in any discipline; or, Professional qualification in insurance, ICA, ACS
- 1-3 years experience in life insurance company or large organisation.
- Ability to analyse details clearly.
- Good convincing skill and clear explanation skills.
- Good written and oral communication.
- Good complaint handling & customer service.
- Computer literate.
- Has sufficient knowledge on policy terms and conditions, product features, Insurance Act and Laws
- Familiar with medical knowledge & human anatomy
- Has sense of urgency and is accountable with work
- Customer service provider, pleasantness & empathy
- High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
- Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
