Position Overview
The FMCG Manager will oversee the sales and distribution operations for the company's fast-moving consumer goods. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, team leadership, and ensuring the efficient and effective distribution of products. The FMCG Manager will be responsible for meeting sales targets, managing relationships with retailers and distributors, and driving the growth of the FMCG segment.
Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve the company’s FMCG sales targets. Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and competitive positioning.
- Distribution Management: Oversee the distribution network to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products. Work with logistics teams to optimize supply chain operations.
- Retail and Distributor Relationships: Manage relationships with key retailers and distributors to ensure product availability and visibility. Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability and market share.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the FMCG sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve targets. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Market Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities. Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic initiatives.
- Product Management: Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to ensure products meet market needs and consumer preferences. Oversee product launches and promotional activities.
- Budget Management: Manage budgets for sales and distribution activities, ensuring cost-effective operations. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures where necessary.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all sales and distribution activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies. Maintain high standards of product quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG sales and distribution management.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing large teams.
- Strong understanding of the FMCG industry and market dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in sales and distribution management software.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
