What you’ll do:
1) Project Planning & Cor-ordination
- - Develop initial ideas and acquire key information about potential projects, discuss requirements in detail with property team and interior design vendors and set project schedules - Conduct feasibility studies for projects, monitor work progress at the design stage and on-site - Understand operational needs, evaluate design concepts, and manage the efficient and functional use of space based on brand requirements - Responsible for planning, executing and finalizing the project management process for restaurants
2) Budgeting and Cost Control:
- - Develop project budgets, track expenses, and ensure that projects are completed within the allocated budget. - Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best pricing and service levels. - Manage change orders and assess their financial impact on project budgets. - Review materials and costs according to set budgets and negotiate project fees with interior design vendors
3) Site Management
- - Overview the execution, supervision of the site works and attend site meeting - Oversee construction and refurbishment work to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and brand guidelines. - Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them. - Conduct site inspections during and after construction to ensure all project specifications are met. - Manage issues arising during the project and resolve them on a timely basis - Update stakeholders on the progress, potential risks and mitigation actions - To lead and work closely with relevant departments on transfer listing for relocation / refurbish restaurant.
4) Vendor and Contractor Management:
- - Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. - Review contractor work and ensure compliance with contract terms, quality standards, and project timelines. - Resolve any disputes or issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
5) Post-Project Evaluation:
- - Conduct post-project evaluations to assess the success of store openings or refurbishments and identify areas for improvement. - Ensure a smooth handover to the operations team and address any post-opening issues.
6) Existing Asset Management
- - To advise / work closely with Nando’s Maintenance Manager if existing restaurant requires any assistance / attention to major faulty M&E or change of Design related matter. - To arrange with contractor, follow up, record and update relevant party once a project maintenance / defect is completed
