Our two brands, Shark, and Ninja, have enjoyed unprecedented growth in the past 5 years, driven mainly by the very strong innovation pipeline on both brands. Given this success in our existing markets, SharkNinja has embarked on a bold plan for growing APAC business, in which Malaysia plays a critical role. We have taken over this market from our distributors, so that we can run them directly and drive strong growth, behind innovation and investments.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Key Account Manager to join our team. This role will be based in Malaysia.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:
- Responsible for developing assigned offline retail channels and accounts in Malaysia.
- Business QBR with key accounts to review and grow business.
- Regular store visits to build engagement and mindshare with retail salespersons.
- Engage with various functions at retailers for smooth business relationships - Operations, Finance, Marketing & and SOH teams.
- Available End-to-end account management – SPOC for all business-related requirements to the appointed Key Accounts.
- Drive and monitor purchase orders, AR collection, Channel inventory, Sell-out, and Product mix.
- Consistent updates on market Inside and competitor activity/pricing updates.
- Ensure to achieve monthly and quarterly targets and exceed objectives.
- Meet internal cadence, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual business management timings.
- Business planning, national promotional calendars, reviews demand planning and able to work with the Marketing team to plan and optimize channel marketing spending and execute to meet business objectives for the assigned accounts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline
- 10+ years of experience in sales functions within multinational consumer goods companies or established small domestic appliance companies.
- At least 5 years of experience in account management and proven track record in sales management.
- Consumer tech industry, including Durables/Appliances, Mobile, or IT (highly advantageous)
- Experience dealing with Electrical Retailers, Pure Play/Online Retailers, Grocers, and Specialist Retailers (strongly preferred)
- Deep understanding of product development and technical aspects, with operational experience in product launch.
- Demonstrated ability to establish solid rapport with key clients, and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Effective negotiation and leadership skills to drive business growth.
- Exceptional customer service aptitude, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in negotiation techniques and adept at closing deals.
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, financial management capabilities.
- Readiness to travel as required by business needs.
