Responsible for identifying potential in targeted customers by communicating and demonstrating our products and services. You will work closely with management, sales, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality safety solutions to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations. You will support strategic growth by identifying new business opportunities and forging strong partnerships regionally. This role focuses on expanding market presence and enhancing the company’s competitive edge in SEA, mainly focuses in Malaysia first.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a technical and solution led sales approach to ensure the continues growth of the business.
- Create a clear forecast and develop a strategic plan for potential opportunities.
- Maintain all customer records and pipeline in CRM.
- Travel in the region with potential to support wider group on request.
- Identify new customers, applications, products and opportunities.
- Report commercial activities to the GM APAC on a regular basis.
- Work closely with the regional Sales team to enable efficiency and unlock opportunities when needed.
- Business Development Plan - Support the APAC GM to develop an individual business development plan for each prospect to ensure a strategic focus to maximize the potential of business growth.
- Project acquisition.
- Build strong working relationships and present solutions to direct end users/customers.
- Target new business opportunities and grow an existing customer base.
- Identify product opportunities and present solutions. Deliver effective technical presentations to current and potential customers.
- Promote the company’s products and services to potential customer and business communities.
- Product knowledge and technical support.
- Develop and grow product knowledge through the company Safety Group.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of product portfolio (and horizon products/services) to ensure that when liaising with customers, all product ranges/brands are considered within the suite of propositions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction - Undertake regular visits to major client/ customers to verify the attainment of customer satisfaction. Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolving any issues that arise throughout the sales process.
- Leads generation- Generate leads by attending industry events, conferences, and tradeshows to promote our products and services.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical curriculum.
- 5+ years in a technical sales role, preferably in electrical switching apparatus and safety solutions.
- Proven record of hunting new customer accounts.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to produce reports and correspondence.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication with an ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or, senior leaders or employees.
- Strong influencing skills through a proven ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Understanding of some relevant APAC markets dynamics would be appreciated.
- Strong analytical skills to identify market opportunities and threats
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of industrial safety, LOTO, electrical power distribution, MV & LV switchgear, UPS, mining, and substations.
- Exceptional communication & people skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 and CRM experience.
- High degree of self-driven. Result oriented.
- Remote working experience is a plus.
