Responsibilities:

You are required to perform these job functions:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Monitor and manage warehouse processes to ensure optimum productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the warehouse team. Assign tasks, set performance targets, and ensure the team adheres to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate inventory levels through regular audits and cycle counts. Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage systems to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and distribution teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products. Manage relationships with transporters and other logistics providers.
  • Continuously assess warehouse processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Lead initiatives to adopt best practices in warehouse management.
  • Monitor and manage warehouse budgets, including labor, materials, and operational costs. Report on expenditure and seek opportunities for cost-saving.
  • Oversee the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology solutions. Ensure data accuracy and leverage technology to optimize warehouse operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, staff performance, and warehouse activities. Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety and health standards.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
