Working Location: full time home base work either in Penang, Malaysia or office base work in Singapore
Main products: RF connector, heavy industry connector
Customer region: Southeast Asia & Oceania such as Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam
Industry preferred: Electronic or harness Industry and have RF connector sales experience.
The Sales Engineer will work with the Regional Sales Director to formulate strategic plans for driving growth in Malaysia. The Employee will be required to implement and drive the plan thru daily sales building activities in the allocated sales area. These activities include, but are not limited to, sales generation from existing customers, developing new customers, demand creation thru design-in and product training. The Employee shall have thorough knowledge of the sales departmental duties and the products the Company promotes. The Employee will ultimately be responsible for the Sales & GP budget, product of the allocated sales areas and will also work as a team to support and deliver the budgeted sales for the assigned area.
*Experience within a Distribution model and direct experience in technical selling into the Military, R&D, Oil & Gas, Clean energy/ E-Vehicle, Industrial Electronic, Contract Manufacturing would be highly valued.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Degree from university; a minimum of 2~3 years of electronics engineering sales experience, preferably with some experience of inter-connect/ connector background.
- High Spoken and written English competencies is a must. Knowledge of Chinese will be a bonus but not necessary.
TECHNICAL JOB COMPETENCIES – (Specific Job Proficiencies and Skills)
Intermediate to advanced PC skills, as well as general knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power-point and Word is a must. The candidate must show willingness to master internal CRM/ERP system.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.)
- To plan, execute sales and account development activities in existing customers to exceed allocated Sales & Gross Profit budget.
- To identify and develop new customer/ industry segment to exceed allocated Sales & Gross Profit budget.
- To identify, support and drive design-in technical activities in the Sales Territory.
- To work with customer base at all levels and disciplines to gain a full understanding of future purchasing needs and market trends.
- To be aware of all significant quotations in the sales territory and report the outcome or recommended action needed to the Regional Sales Director, Southeast Asia & Oceania, internal salesperson and / or product manager where appropriate by utilization of the quotation follow-up system.
- To provide input on industry/customer product buying trends to determine a future sales and product strategy for the territory.
