Role Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Tax Assistant to join our team. As an Tax Assistant, you will work closely with our tax team to ensure compliance with Income Tax Act 1967 and other applicable tax rules and professional standards in Malaysia. Your work will contribute to building confidence among stakeholders and promoting long-term growth. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of taxation.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Prepare tax returns Forms E/B/BE/P/TA/TP/C/PT & etc, prepare tax computation and e-filing
  • Prepare WHT return forms, assist on tax payment
  • Responsible for the proper completion of portfolio assigned and to meet statutory deadlines
  • To comply with work procedures and performance standards currently enforced
  • To work closely with clients’ representatives
  • Perform field work assignments as and when necessary such as meeting up with clients and/or Inland Revenue officers
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus
  • Good understanding of tax rules (Income Tax Act 1967, Public Rulings and etc), accounting principles and standards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Pro-active in learning
  • Demonstrate high integrity
