About the job:
The Software Engineer (Full Stack) is accountable for designing, developing, testing and documenting new and modified functionality within the Opcenter Execution application collaboratively with minimal guidance. The engineer is also expected to provide input to the technical direction for one or more areas of the product, including frameworks and tools such as Designer, Application Server, Portal and Portal Studio.

- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design, create, & execute expert, manual and automated test scripts to validate and verify system requirements and communication devices firmware for mission critical markets in the public safety, commercial and industrial segments.
- Self grooming on the devices features and customer user case of the LMR radios for effectiveness of daily task execution
- Analyze, identify and report software defects and making recommendations to improve the software product
- Perform troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
- Participate in all aspects of product development process including specification definition, design, implementation and testing and possess a good understanding of the various software lifecycle
- Perform necessary analysis required for the project, and identify and solve complex technical problems requiring proper evaluation and analysis as well as make decisions that positively impact the project
- Collaborating with other Test Engineers, Software Programmers and other team members
- Retesting software after bugs are fixed to ensure the program works properly
- Building software testing programs that automate testing processes
- High adaptability and ability to acquire new skills and tools efficiently.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering is required for this position
- 1 year of working experience or Fresh Graduate are welcome.
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Familiarity with Linux, Github and AWS Cloud9.
- Experience in Android development and testing will be an added advantage.
- Able to work independently and possess excellent communication skills.
- Good problem solving skills and familiar with software engineering
- Experience with Scrum/Agile/SAFe development methodologies.
- Experience with test case management tool (For e.g. ALM)
- Experience in devices testing of telecommunications/IT networking products.
- Able to write and test code using Java, XML, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Good foundation knowledge of C, C++, and C# design.
- Possess strong analytical skills, troubleshooting skills, creatively resolve execution failures and knowledge of software design, to include object oriented design
- Ability to work and communicate well across different design centers
- Excellent English communication skills advanced both written and spoken.
- Good communication, planning and organization/control skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be work both independently and as part of a team
- To be proactive and able to anticipate
- Candidates must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia.
