- If you are our Factory Automation Engineer in HP, you will:
- Lead and spearhead smart manufacturing initiatives by collaborating with internal teams (Operations, Process, Factory System, NPI, and Product Engineering) as well as external System Integrators. This entails conceptualizing, designing, and executing tooling automation projects to support NPI efforts, POR projects and enhance business resilience strategies.
- Directly engage with the procurement team to oversee the acquisition of capital expenditures (CAPEX) related to tooling and automation projects.
- Take ownership of technical and quality leadership in partnerships with external System Integrators, overseeing project technical risks and continuity plans.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements while continuously seeking innovative approaches to integrate advancements in Industry 4.0 manufacturing solutions, fostering the development of a Smart Factory environment.
- Develop thorough project management plans from initiation to completion, includes contingency measures to ensure the successful achievement of project objectives within defined schedule and cost. This involves establishing and monitoring project cash flow commitments.
- Manage the installation, integration, and validation of tooling into existing manufacturing systems, ensure that the tools meet the project scope and test plans, while complies to HP safety regulatory and industry standards.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including technical specifications, testing protocols, and project reports.
- Are you a high performer? We are looking for an individual with:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a technology or manufacturing-related engineering discipline with a min of 5 years of experience or equivalent; accompanied by outstanding skills in project management, technical leadership, problem-solving and analytics. PMI PMP certified is a plus.
- Knowledge in smart manufacturing, smart technologies, automation system and manufacturing processes fundamentals, with keen interest in equipment design and technologies.
- Great team player, demonstrates excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
- Able to lead and work with cross functional teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
- Takes initiatives, is enthusiastic, resourceful, and flexible.
- Willing to travel to Manufacturing Partner Sites, System Integrators, and supplier sites.
