Position Objective
• Establish architecture governance processes, standards and guidelines, and ensure BUs comply with the architecture governance
• Maintain software development life cycle and ensure BUs comply with software development life cycle
• Maintain group technology standard and ensure BUs fully comply with the standard
• Establish and manage the lifecycle of standard technologies and standard products
• Manage the application portfolio across the Group and ensure information are available on timely manner
Roles and Responsibilities
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining Architecture Governance Standard
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining Software Development Lifecycle Standard
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining Software Product and Technology Governance Standard
• Responsible for maintaining the application landscape data with quality
• Responsible for execution of the architecture governance in Group level. Ensure BUs comply with Architecture Governance Standard, Software Development Lifecycle Standard, and Software Product and Technology Governance Standard
• Support annual certification of BU compliance to architecture standards and ensuring architecture transformation program is an integral part of the enterprise strategic planning process
• Responsible for managing requests for new standards adoption and exceptions
• Responsible for guiding and assisting the architects in local business unit to set up and manage architecture governance
• Responsible for maintaining the architecture governance repository, standard and templates and ensure the adoption
• Responsible for monitoring the compliance of technology standard through architecture governance process
• Responsible for co-ordinating the product evaluation, standardisation and exception request process to ensure timely assessment and approval
• Responsible for reviewing the product standard regularly to identify old technology to be retired and new technology to be expected
• Responsible for maintaining libraries of standard technologies and standard products and promoting adoption
• Responsible for building and administering the application portfolio management tools
• Responsible for guiding and assisting the architects in local business unit to set up and manage its application portfolio
• Responsible for providing recommendation and tracking the portfolio to eliminate end-of-life and legacy application, and to deliver the modern architecture
• Deliver training through training courses or on-the-job training to local business units with the outcome to promote good architecture practices
• Communicate with vendors the strategy and architecture to ensure that vendors can support AIA Group effectively and efficiently
• Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by reporting manager in order to meet operational and / or other requirements
Job Requirements
• 15+ years of IT experience with 5+ years as architects, business partner or management consultant in complex international environments in insurance or financial services sector
• Experience in working internationally spanning geographies in Asia.
• Understand the complexities and challenges of the organization, integrated processes, information and technologies in order to develop future-state models to best realize organizational strategies
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence and partner with key internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of current trends and innovations in technology and business software applications
• TOGAF certification preferred
• Experience managing senior technical and non-technical stakeholders
