Procurement Engineer

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for acquiring materials, equipment, instrument, and services needed for projects.
• Work closely with the engineering & R&D departments to analyze technical requirements, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers based on product specifications and cost target.
• Responsible for supplier management, such as supplier sourcing, selection, evaluation.
• Responsible for cost reduction and price negotiation.
• Expedite and ensure timely delivery from suppliers/vendor including receipt of goods on delivery to fulfill production & project schedule.
• Maintain and update purchasing document/records.
• Verify and process invoice and submit to Accounts Dept.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering.
• Familiar with sourcing of mechanical & electrical engineering parts/material.
• Ability to review engineering drawings, provide feedback and cost reduction proposal, and develop a sourcing plan.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Good command of English.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Responsible, motivated, and able to work independently as well as a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
