The Finance Director will be responsible for all site financial planning, analysis, and reporting. The incumbent will bring strong technical and leadership skills with responsibilities encompassing all aspects of financial management across manufacturing sites globally. Role is based in Singapore

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to strategic discussions around growth initiatives, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Supports strategic initiatives and capital investments across the business unit to ensure proper business cases, risk assessment, scenario modeling, financial assessment, and ongoing financial performance.
  • Integrates into the broader Finance team by complying with policies and procedures; as well as partnering with Corporate Finance team to meet monthly and quarterly reporting requirements, manage internal controls, monitor cash requirements, and address tax related inquiries.
  • Support business unit in driving operating discipline through creating and executing processes to regular review key operating metrics; as well as, supporting the operations team with analysis and decision-making on key areas such as plant efficiencies, cost, sourcing / material costs, and inventory/net working capital levels.
  • Support commercial excellence through in-depth financial analysis on sales performance, pricing strategies, margin management and product profitability.
  • Support new projects in project management, capex, projection of future operation, cost analysis and projections to prove the concept.
  • Oversee and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting process for the consolidated business unit while partnering closely with site finance teams and other functional leaders to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information.
  • Oversee and lead all business unit planning cycles including quarterly forecast updates, annual budgeting process, and annual long-term strategic planning process.
  • Identifies and assess financial and business risks, proposing mitigation strategies while ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Assesses and implements new accounting standards (as required) including communicating the accounting and business impacts; support with Finance improvement initiatives focused on people, process, and technology.
  • Develops and maintains relationships that effectively represents company's interests with third parties including external auditors and other professional services / advisory firms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance combined with a CPA (or equivalent account designation) or MBA.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, must have experience in manufacturing environment, international experience preferred.
  • Strategic level finance management, including M&A
  • Strong relationship-building skills and proven experience in business partnership.
  • Demonstrated financial budgeting, forecasting, and planning skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, effectively address challenges and opportunities that arise in the changing business environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, can effectively convey financial information to different groups of audience.
  • Lead and motivate finance team to achieve business and personal goals and foster team development.
  • Strong work ethic coupled with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to one’s work.
  • The ability to manage multiple assignments and multiple demands simultaneously.
