Job Descriptions:

  • Leading the Oil & Gas Department which consist of Sales, Engineering & Design and Project execution focusing on Caterpillar Oil and Gas (O&G) related projects and execution till successful completion.
  • Accountable for project turnover and profitability of the above as well as leading sales of custom designed products such as Generators for Hazardous Area applications in Oil and Gas Industries and Natural Gas and Biogas gensets.
  • To ensure customer satisfaction with the end product and services.
  • Accountable for the safety of engineering personnel and provision of a safe workplace, including the production of Risk Assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Leadership and development of the Cat E&T and E&T workshop teams to imbed a culture of continuous improvement, quality and high performance.
  • Overall responsibility for Engineering activities across the business.
  • Ensure that engineering strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market.
  • Initiate and develop creative and innovative engineering processes.
  • Lead and motivate a team of engineers to continuously improve professionalism for self and department productivity.
  • Continuously update knowledge of company and related products and activities for effective job performance.
  • Conduct seminars for M&E consultants as well as customers so as to keep them abreast of our product offerings, activities and innovations within the industry.
  • To build upon existing business and develop on need requirements/products where possible so as to enhance stakeholder interest.
  • Execution of other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Divisional Director that will enhance and contribute to the overall efficient operations of the Division.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor of Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in Power Systems or related business with relevant knowledge in areas of electrical power engineering, rotating equipment, instruments and controls, materials, fabrication methods / procedures, heat transfer, noise control, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and relevant subjects related to power generation and project management.
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Good command of English and possess effective writing skills and presentation capabilities.
  • Conversant with Engineering standards, codes and practices for the industry.
  • Be conversant with and practice risk management techniques, viz-a-viz terms and conditions of tender bids and contracts.
  • Sufficient understanding of financial tools to manage department operations effectively.
  • Resourceful, analytical and proactive to varied customers’ requirements and market conditions.
