Responsibilities
- Studying, and collecting data to determine overall cost breakdown includes the raw materials, energy, overhead and labour.
- Calculating the Budget and Forecast cost for FMCG related products.
- Analysing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
- Analysing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs timely and accurately according to accounting processes and procedures.
- Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
- Simulate any new and proposed product costs.
- Maintaining Cost Accounting System Control and Process.
- Assist in maintaining the material master cost update and cost release process.
- Support any other related task required from the management.
- Validate and analysing standard cost reasonableness and responsible for standard cost release of every month.
- Review process order and address if any errors to production team and resolve.
- Checking freight cost reasonableness every month and ensure dummy freight cost is posted in sales order to estimate freight cost accruals.
- Analyse the impact of cost changes (e.g., raw material price fluctuations) on product profitability.
- Prepare reconciliation between FI, SD, and CO-PA ensures that sales, revenue, cost, and profitability data are consistent across these modules.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in production and procurement.
- Develop and recommend process improvements to enhance cost accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate records of cost analysis and pricing documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in cost accounting, product costing, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and SAP ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial modelling and analysis.
- Willing to work at Pasir Gudang, Johor.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry-specific costing methodologies (e.g., Oleochemical, manufacturing, FMCG).
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
