This position requires strong leadership abilities, strategic planning skills, and a deep understanding of logistics and freight coordinator Key Responsibilities: *Shipment Coordination: Manage and coordinate the logistics of shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery. *Documentation Management: Prepare and process all necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork. *Communication: Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and customers to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any issues that arise. *Customs Compliance: Ensure that all shipments comply with local and international customs regulations and facilitate smooth customs clearance. *Cost Management: Monitor shipping costs and negotiate rates with freight carriers to optimize budget and service efficiency. *Tracking and Reporting: Utilize tracking systems to monitor shipments and provide detailed reports on freight activities to management. *Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any transportation-related issues, such as delays, damage, or lost shipments. *Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory teams to ensure accurate tracking of stock levels and timely replenishment. *Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics providers and other stakeholders to enhance service delivery. *Compliance and Safety: Adhere to company policies and safety standards in all freight operations. Qualifications: a) Degree Holders: *3-5 years in Supply Chain Management *Degree in Logistics, Economics, Business, or equivalent *Experience in Oil, Gas, & Petrochemical industry is a plus b) Diploma Holders: *3-7 years in logistics and freight forwarding at a supervisory level *Diploma or equivalent *Professional qualification in Freight Forwarding or Logistics preferred Skills: *Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain management *Excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills *Ability to handle urgent requests and manage documents How to Apply: Submit your resume and cover letter, including your expected salary.
