Used Car Sales Representative responsibilities • Answer questions related to auto sales contracts and financing options while coordinating with the sales manager and finance service department • Employ customer service and negotiation skills to close used car deals while delivering an optimal sales experience • Accompany auto sales customers on test drives that you arrange • Create a positive auto sales experience by taking a knowledgeable approach to presenting used car features, options, and differentiating characteristics • Take a professional approach to your role as a sales associate, whether working with customers in the showroom or collaborating with team members at sales meetings Used Car Sales Representative qualifications • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required; a high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory • At least one year working as a sales advisor, preferably in a dealership setting, is necessary • Possession of a valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required • Strong communication skills, customer service skills, and an outgoing personality are critical • Have an interest and knowledge in used car features, auto sales trends, car dealerships’ processes, financing options, and sales management
