Steel Fabrication Engineer

1)Lead the planning and implementation of steel fabrication projects. 2)Develop detailed project plans and schedules, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables. 3)Review design drawings for accuracy and completeness, coordinating with customers, design team, detailing, shop, and field to resolve discrepancies and missing information. 4)Coordinate project sequencing and basic detailing job setup, including advance bills and shop and erection drawings. 5)Provide technical instructions and guidance to steel detailers in preparing shop drawings per project requirements and standards. 6)Monitor project schedules for submittals, approvals, and shop fabrication releases, identifying and communicating possible delays or issues to the project management team. 7)Organize detailing Request for Information (RFI) process, collaborating with engineers, architects, and general contractors. 8)Distribute and route drawings, working closely with Document Control to avoid delays and maintain accurate logs. 9)Act as a liaison between the shop, field, and detailers to resolve fabrication and erection difficulties. 10)Maintain regular communication with Project Managers or presidents on the progress of assigned responsibilities. 11)Provide valuable assistance to the Project Management Team in achieving successful project outcomes. 12)Participate in coordination meetings at fabrication facilities and job sites. 13)Coordinate the detailing efforts of various common subcontractors. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
