Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability (24x7)
  • Provide 1st and 2nd level support to customers.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Provide Support to Systems / Virtualization / Backup Solutions based on customer requirements
  • Meet with customers to gather requirements, resolve incidents and problems
  • Ensure Reports are delivered successfully and on time
  • Ensure all SLAs and OLAs are met including uptime availability
  • Perform daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly System Infra Health Reporting
  • Follow SOPs for operations of Systems, Cloud, Managed Services
  • 24 x 7 support, unlimited off-site, phone and email support via the service desk.
  • Daily full-day on-site IT operations support for systems and data backup administration VMware Virtual Infrastructure
  • Perform daily health checks on Virtual Infrastructure by logging onto VMware vCenter.
  • Note down any errors/alerts in VMware vCenter.
  • Note down the CPU, Memory, and Disk Capacity for each VMware host.
  • Create documentation for daily health check.
  • Update systems documentation when there are changes.

Veeam Administration

  • Log in to Veeam Backup & Recovery Server to look at the backup dashboard.
  • Generate Veeam One report on Virtual Infrastructure Health.
  • Generate Veeam One report on backup health.
  • Generate Veeam One report on capacity.
  • Note any errors/alerts from the Veeam Backup & Recovery server associated with SMC.
  • Create documentation for daily health check.
  • Perform tape media swapping and management.
  • Perform backup/restore operations and management.
  • Ensure that all backup is shown as successful. Any failed backups are to be noted down and highlighted to the service desk.
  • Update systems documentation when there are changes.

Microsoft Operating System

  • Perform systems daily operations/administration such as:
  • Cleaning up disk space (*).
  • Managing user account (*) on the Active Directory.
  • System Monitoring such as checking for errors & identifying potential issues.
  • Perform troubleshooting tasks such as diagnosing and resolving issues.
  • Perform patching of Microsoft Operating System based on VAPT reported generated by SMC.
  • Deploy fixes based on VAPT findings generated by SMC.
  • Update systems documentation when there are changes.
