Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor • Review construction plans and estimate the works quantity and build the costs of materials, equipment, manpower etc. • Prepare contracts and documents of the project, related to main contract, subcontract, supply purchase order etc. • Set budgets for payments, inventory needs, and materials, track changes in plans/designs or constructions works and adjusting/updating the budget projections in line with these. • Negotiate and liaise with developers, main contractors, consultants, site team, subcontractors, suppliers and other associated parties. • Keep track of construction materials, equipment, tools and inventory, issue PO when required. • Identify and analyze the potential financial or construction risks. • Advise clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers on improvements, strategies, and estimated costs etc. • Prepare payments certificate and quantity verification document for contractors and subcontractors, suppliers etc. • Measuring and valuing the work done on site and documenting the progress, materials, and reports of the project. • Advise on property taxes, regulations, and local laws. • Develop and maintain working relationships with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and other associated parties • Analyze completed projects to determine Return on investment (ROI) and compare costs for management to study. • Pricing/forecasting the cost of the different components needed for a project, scrutinizing maintenance and material, equipment, manpower costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals. • Selecting and/or sourcing construction materials, equipment, subcontractors etc. which required on the construction stage of the project. • In connection with company’s each department/ project team and/or 3rd parties for dealing with the financial and legal matters. • Traveling to various sites as required.
