Job description • Required 5+ years of experience in Quality Specialist Engineer is a Software Engineering team member aligned to the Quality Practice and accountable for quality within the team, including adopting best practices. S/he will have a strong quality mindset and aims to improve skillset in Quality across all team members. Senior Quality Specialists come together to review solutions and approaches in quality improvements. They share the initiatives they lead, and their challenges faced with the Group Quality Lead. • This role is well suited to someone with strong collaboration skills and attention to detail who enjoys working in a team to achieve common goals, and thrives working in a dynamic, fast moving and challenging (and somewhat ambiguous) environment, where they can pick up skills and learn on the job and through others. Core Responsibilities • Requirements Analysis and Quality Strategy: • User briefing for defect management tool (if required) • Test kick off meeting • Perform Smoke Testing in test environment prior actual test execution starts • Issue closure found in Smoke testing if any • Redeploy code for test execution • Preparation of Test Execution Status report (Daily) • Performance Test Run Report (per cycle) walkthrough with project team • Defect logging in Defect Management Tool (JIRA) • Test Result review after defect closure • Linking defect to the respective test cases • Conduct Defect Triage meeting with Participation from other team (IT, SA, BA, AD, etc.). • Understand, review and prioritise identified defects/issues throughout the testing process • Test extension planning if needed based on Project health and exit criteria • Test Metrics preparation • Monitor data quality throughout testing activities and ensure that it meets data mapping specifications • Highly recommend identified resources to report to work from ASAP onwards • Has relevant experience in software testing/development role (at least 3+years) • Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies, including automation and • non-functional testing and other specialist areas. • Grit, adaptability and a great attitude. • A self-starter with a high motivation for learning and career growth; acquiring new • skills and applying prior skills to something new. • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Scrum or other Agile methodology. • Experience of working in and with cross-functional teams. • Influencing skills, with proactive desire to enforce and promote quality standards, • principles, and best practices. • Understanding of, and familiarity with, Software Engineering processes/methods/languages such as: • Java / Groovy • Automated unit testing (e.g., JUnit) • Working Manual Testing with bug-tracking systems such as JIRA. • Exposure to CI\CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins etc. • Automated functional testing (e.g., TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium, QFTest), Mocking Framework (e.g., JMockit, Mockito, WireMock) • CI/CD, DevOps and Test Automation • TDD – Test Driven Development, BDD – Behavioural Driven Development • Agile methodologies (Lean, Scrum, Kanban, etc.) • Familiar with Open-Source tools & Frameworks, including but not limited to: Spring, Gradle, Maven, Hibernate/JPA, Junit, JMS, SOAP, Bitbucket, Jenkins, EKS, Docker • Certified in Test Foundation Level (CTFL) or any relevant test certification • International Software Test Qualification Board is an added advantage • Is fluent in written and spoken English. • Preferably, has a Degree in IT, or a relevant numerical discipline with a high • computing content.
