Data Centre Facility Engineer

A Data Centre Facility Engineer is responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical infrastructure within a data center environment. This role involves overseeing various technical aspects, including power systems, cooling systems, environmental controls, and security measures. Responsibilities • Oversee the design, operation, and maintenance of the data center infrastructure. • Ensure high availability of the data center systems, including cooling, power, and security. • Implement monitoring tools to ensure performance and uptime. • Work with the IT and cloud teams to optimize data center operations. • Troubleshoot and resolve any facility-related issues in a timely manner. Qualifications • 4+ years of experience managing data center operations. • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. • Certification in data center infrastructure management (DCIM) or a similar field is preferred. • Knowledge of data center infrastructure (cooling, power, cabling). • Strong understanding of electrical power systems, HVAC systems, and environmental controls. • Experience with data center infrastructure design, installation, and maintenance. • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
