About the role: As a Purchasing Officer, you'll play a key role in sourcing quality goods and services while ensuring cost efficiency. You'll manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and handle purchase orders to keep inventory levels optimized. You'll also track deliveries, perform stock audits, and work with internal teams to ensure smooth operations. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys improving processes and is ready to make an impact by keeping everything running seamlessly behind the scenes, while working by the beach. Responsibilities: Procurement & Supplier Management: Source and purchase goods, negotiate contracts, and secure competitive pricing for high-cost items. Monitor vendor performance for quality, service, and pricing. Order Processing & Coordination: Prepare and process purchase orders, coordinate with internal departments, and ensure timely delivery of goods. Manage storeroom reorders and stock levels. Inventory Control & Stock Audits: Conduct monthly stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain control over stock handling and issuance. Operational Efficiency: Improve procurement processes and identify new products to enhance business operations. Vendor & Quality Assurance: Monitor supplier performance, ensure product quality, and manage contracts for high-demand items. Collaboration & Reporting: Work with the Executive Chef on daily orders, address stock discrepancies, and handle additional tasks as needed. Requirements Possess at least a certificate in Procurement Management, Diploma in Accountancy, or any related field. At least 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in purchasing. Experience in 4 or 5 star hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing and a solid understanding of supply chain procedures.
