Job Overview: As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and manage the engineering team for automation projects and services. Ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the engineering team for automation projects, including engineers and technical staff. • Ensure projects adhere to company standard operating procedures and policies. • Manage resource allocation for projects, including manpower, materials, and time, coordinate collaboration between different departments, communicate with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders, coordinate resources from all parties to ensure timely completion. • Supervise engineering design and development processes to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements. • Manage project risks, develop risk management plans, and take timely measures to address potential risks. • Provide project progress reports and other relevant information, communicate project status to senior management and stakeholders. • Lead and manage the service engineering team, including service engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure optimal performance and productivity. • Develop and implement service strategies, policies, and procedures to improve service delivery and meet customer needs. • Oversee service operations, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities, to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and within budget. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales and product suppliers, to align presales job, service and project delivery strategies with business goals and objectives. • Manage customer relationships, address customer inquiries, concerns and escalations in a timely and professional manner. • Monitor delivery performance metrics, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement, drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction. • Achieving process and document standardization Interpersonal • Build up and maintain good relationships with the customers. • Candidates with abundant external industry resources to support business development are preferred. Experience: • Minimum of ten years automation field experience and five years engineering team manage experience. Education: • Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering or equivalent and/or registration as a professional engineer. Personal Attributes • Customer-oriented, committed and a team-player. • Willing to travel within Malaysia and Southeast Asia where necessary. Competency Requirements • Extensive engineering management experience in the automation field, with a preference for candidates with project and service management experience. • Strong communication and team leadership skills, able to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. • Familiarity with automation systems and technologies, understanding of engineering design and development processes. • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks. • In-depth knowledge of quality management and safety standards, able to ensure projects comply with relevant requirements • Familiar with team management and process management, capable of formulating strategic objectives and process planning, and implementing them into practical work.
