The CNC Multi-Axis Milling Specialist is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture precision parts according to engineering specifications. This role combines expertise in CNC programming with hands-on machining, ensuring high-quality production and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for all accepts of CNC Milling machines, programming and tool. • Set up CNC milling machines, including tool selection, tool setting, fixture setup, and material loading. • Develop and write multi – axis CNC programs using CAD/CAM software based on engineering drawings or customer specifications. • To train and transfer technical knowledge on CNC Milling machines operation to local talent to develop new programming and optimize existing machines programs and master programming for new product development. • Utilize CAD/CAM software such as MasterCAM / Solidworks / similar software to develop CNC programs. • Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, 2D / 3D models and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) • Optimize machine operations by selecting the appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials. • Make necessary adjustments to programs for efficiency and accuracy, ensuring minimal downtime. • Calibrate machines, ensuring proper alignment and positioning before production. • Conduct first-off inspections to verify part dimensions meet tolerances. • Ensure parts are produced to the required specifications and within given tolerances. • Make adjustments to machine settings or programs during production as necessary to maintain quality. • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as callipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). • Ensure compliance with quality standards and troubleshoot any defects or deviations. • Record and maintain accurate documentation of production results and quality checks. • Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and coordinate repairs when necessary. • Follow safety protocols and ensure the machine area is clean, organized, and free of hazards. • Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards. Requirements: • Education/Experience: o Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, CNC Programming, or a related field. o Proven experience in CNC programming and machining, specifically with milling machines. o Experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment. • Technical Skills: o Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, or similar). o Expertise in operating multi-axis CNC milling machines (3, 4, and 5-axis). o Hands-on experience with CNC milling machines, tooling, and setup. o Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC machine operations. o Proficiency with Fanuc or similar interface system control o Experience working with various of manufacturing materials • Other Skills: o Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. o Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
